Are wondering how to find deleted emails in Outlook? Outlook, is one of the world’s biggest email clients. This popularity is down to the fact that it comes with a wide range of features, many of which are essential for business users. However, for all its glamour, Outlook can be fairly difficult to master. One thing that you will need to learn is how you can recover emails that you will have accidentally or intentionally deleted. This can be crucial, particularly for businesses. Losing important emails could translate into a loss of revenue.
Check the Deleted Items and Trash Folders
The first thing that you will want to do as far as recovering deleted emails in Outlook is to check whether the messages have been forwarded to either your Deleted Items or your Trash folders.
Like all the other email clients that are out there, Outlook does not completely delete messages even when you hit the delete button.
You may be familiar with this from Gmail or from Yahoo mail. When you delete your messages, they are moved to a Trash, or deleted or junk folder. You can recover them from here if you wish. Some clients will remove the messages after a specified time frame, while others will keep them in there for an indefinite amount of time.
It’s different form client to client. So, the first thing that you will need to do as far as recovering deleted emails in Outlook is to check in your Deleted Items folder to see whether or not the messages have been sent there.
You also need to check within the Trash folder. This is where the emails that you delete could end up in.
Should you find the message that you are looking for within either the Deleted or Trash folder, you can recover the email by right clicking the message and then moving it to your inbox or to any other folder.
How to recover permanently deleted messages.
The above method of recovering deleted Outlook messages is fairly straightforward. However, what happens if the email that you are looking for has been permanently deleted? We noted above that messages that you delete are sent to the Deleted Items folder. However, if you delete a message that is in this folder, it then becomes permanently removed from your account. That can become a problem if there is a message that you need to recover. The good news is that there are steps that you can take to recover permanently deleted messages in Outlook.
- Open Outlook and click on Deleted items.
- Select the Home tab.
- Click on Recover Deleted Items from Server.
- Microsoft will proceed to recover permanently deleted items from their Exchange Server.
- Choose the item that you wish to recover.
- Click on Ok.
- The message will now be shown in your Deleted Items folder.
- Move it to another folder.
Use a third-party tool to recover deleted emails in Outlook

Should that be the case, you will have to use third party tools to recover your deleted emails. There are a number of tools that allows you to do this. An example is Tenorshare 4DDiG Windows Data Recover tool.
How to properly manage your email signatures
Emails signatures are an important element in business correspondences. They give business an additional tool through which to promote brand awareness. They can also be used to directly sell different products.
One challenge that arises when it comes to managing email signatures stems from the fact that screen sizes are widely different across the board. It becomes a challenge to produce a signature that works equally well on both a 5-inch screen and on a 32-inch screen, as an example.
There are other challenges that arise from using email signatures, including the fact that maintaining uniformity can be a struggle, particularly with large organisations. You don’t want a situation where each department has a signature that looks different from others.
This is where email signature management solutions providers such as Crossware 365 come into play. We provide businesses with the tools that they need to come up with professional looking email signatures.
